financial aid + scholarships

An overwhelming majority of our students benefit from financial aid. You can, too.

We recognize that the cost of funding your culinary education can be intimidating, no matter how great an investment it is. We are here to help you make your dreams come true, whether you want to pursue a new career or take your passion to the next level.

Don’t let money stand in the way of a world-class culinary education.

The Italian Culinary Academy wants to help ensure that qualified applicants are not turned away based solely on lack of funds. Our team of Financial Aid advisors is here to help outline a plan that will work for you, based on your own individual needs. We encourage you to email us or call 1.888.324.2433 to speak with us about your options.

Below, you’ll find information on financial aid and scholarship options for The Italian Culinary Academy program. For in-depth information on each and steps to complete the Financial Aid process, please schedule an interview with a Financial Aid Advisor.

FINANCIAL AID PROGRAMS

There are a variety of financial aid options available. For more information, please contact our Financial Aid department at 1.888.324.2433 or email us.

Career Training Loan - Can be used to finance the entire cost of culinary or pastry arts school. Approved borrowers have the option to defer payment for up to twelve months, with $10 monthly interest payments, plus a one-time “change in terms” to extend the deferment period for another year. Repayment can be made over 15 years at LIBOR + 9.5% - 14%. Click here for more information.

Smart Options Loan - Designed to help shorten the amount of time taken to pay off the loan, it features interest-only payments while still in school and during the six-month separation period. Students avoid capitalized interest, thereby significantly reducing the total loan cost and graduating with substantially less debt. Rates start at one-month LIBOR + 6.75%, rewarding borrowers with good credit standing. Click here for more information.

NJCLASS Loan - A newly created loan for New Jersey residents offering one of the most affordable and flexible student loan programs in the nation. Allows students or parents to finance the cost of attendance, minus other financial aid awarded to the student. The NJCLASS loan offers the following great benefits:

  • Offers a low fixed rate of 7.92%
  • Parents are eligible to borrow, in combination with PLUS loans
  • Students or co-signers may be eligible, even if you’ve applied to other loans in the past
  • Can be used in combination with other financial aid and scholarships

scholarships

There are many different scholarship opportunities available. They may be awarded based on need, experience, goals, and other factors. The amounts may vary (every little bit can help). Scholarships may be awarded for The Italian Culinary Academy’s Italian Culinary Experience program. Please click here to find out about current scholarship opportunities and check back with us, as new ones are announced often. In addition, many employers and unions offer scholarships to employees or the children of employees, so it’s worthwhile to ask your family to inquire.
